Kilobyte:

An amount of computer memory, disk space, or document size consisting of approximately one thousand bytes. Actual value is 1024 bytes.

Krakatoa:

A volcanic island between Sumatra and Java that is known for the largest eruption in modern times. The eruption ocurred in 1883 and was heard 5000 Km away, ashes fell as far as 850 Km away and waves up to 40m high devastated everything in their path destroying 165 coastal villages and killing 36,417 people.
